Privacy & Data Policy
We care about your privacy. In this document, we explain how we collect, store, and share your private data as well as your choices regarding the matter.
What we collect
We only collect and store what is absolutely necessary. We do not collect anything outside required minimum; for example, we do not use marketing cookies.

Login information.Email & password are required to sign in. Note that we do not store the password in plaintext. We only store the cryptographic hash of your password.

Login cookieEntering full login credentials every time is daunting. To avoid that, we store so-called a persistent cookie. With the help of this cookie, we can log you to our service without going through the complete authentication process.

Email for registration wait listIf you would like to be notified when Loglark is ready for general use, we ask that you provide your email address. We will use your email address only to send notifications about Loglark’s readiness.

Billing informationIn case you opt-in for invoice delivery, we will store the necessary details to generate invoices.
Note that we do not collect payment information. It is processed directly on payment services.

loglark web service logsWe collect and store web-service logs of our service. We might collect information that is sent by web browser (e.g. ip address, user-agent, referrer, etc.). We only use logs for internal analyses and do not share them with third parties.

loglark executor logsWe collect and store execution logs of the loglark query engine. They might contain query text or parts of query text. We use executor logs for debugging purposes and never share them with third parties.

Logs records you send to usWe store log records you send to us. This data is essential for providing service: loglark provides a search and alerting service on data you have sent to us.
We take all feasible measures to keep your data secure and only accessible by you. We update our servers daily, all internal communications are encrypted, and access to internal services is also restricted.

BackupsWe back up both log record data and private data. All backups are kept within EU.
What we share
- Employees might get access to some data if it is needed to carry on your support request.
- We might disclose private data if we are bound by legal request.
Retention
- Log records are retained for time configured per topic.
- Backups of log records are kept for 2 weeks extra.
- Backups of all other data are kept for 2 weeks.
Deleting an account
At any moment, you can delete your account at loglark.io
If you delete your account, all private data and stored log records will be immideately deleted. Note that backups are kept for 2 weeks. If you want us to delete backups of your data as well, please send a request to support@loglark.io
