Limits

We work very hard to avoid any limits in the system. However, some limits are necessary to protect the system from obviously incorrect or corrupted data. This page lists such limits.

Record limits​

  1. Maximum record size is 4MiB. Bigger records will be rejected.

  2. Maximum JSON nesting level is 16384. JSON expression search will not find records with nesting exceeding the limit. However substring or regex search will find them anyway.

  3. Timestamp precision is nanoseconds.

  4. Maximum retention is 365 days.

Topic limits​

  1. Maximum number of topics is 100. This is a soft limit. If you need to raise it, please contact us.
